Roasted Chickpeas

So simple, so delicious, and SPICY (if you want)! PRINT recipe here
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • 2 cans drained and rinsed garbanzo beans or chickpeas (yes they are exactly the same thing)
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil 
  • 2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Toss chickpeas with olive oil and spices; spread out on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.  Bake for 30-45 minutes stirring every 15 minutes.  Watch towards the end, they will brown very fast. 
Optional items: you can use any type of spice you like: chili powder, oregano, fresh herbs, etc. You can also experiment with different types of EVOO, we used Citrus Habanero and they were soooo good!
